How do I know which course is right for me?

Book a $25 trial lesson. In 45 minutes we assess your speaking and writing, talk through your goal and deadline, and you receive a written recommendation afterwards. If a different course fits better than the one you expected, I will say so — there is no obligation to continue.

What level do I need to start?

Conversational Fluency and Grammar Mastery work from elementary level upwards. Exam Preparation and Business English assume a solid intermediate base, because both are about technique on top of existing English. The trial lesson confirms the fit before you commit.

What technology do I need?

A stable internet connection, a browser, and a headset if you have one. Lessons run on video call with a shared document, and you receive the link by email after your booking is confirmed. Nothing needs installing.

How long is each lesson and how often should I book?

Standard lessons are 55 minutes; the trial is 45. One lesson a week with homework produces steady progress for most learners. Two a week is right when you have a fixed deadline such as an exam or a relocation date.

Are the lessons live or pre-recorded?

Always live and always 1-on-1. There are no group classes and no pre-recorded video courses. Every lesson is built around the errors and goals in your own file.

Can I reschedule or cancel a lesson?

Yes — free of charge up to 24 hours before the lesson. Inside 24 hours the lesson credit is used, except in genuine emergencies. You can request a change from the student portal or by replying to your confirmation email.

What if I miss a lesson entirely?

You still receive the lesson notes and homework for that session, and we pick up the plan at the next lesson. Packages are valid for six months, so an occasional missed week does not lose you a credit permanently.

How does payment work?

You book first, without paying. Once I confirm the slot by email, I send payment details for the lesson or package you chose. Nothing is charged before we have agreed a plan and a time.

Do lesson packages expire?

Packages are valid for six months from the purchase date, which is comfortable for weekly study with holidays included. If something significant interrupts your schedule, contact me and we will work it out.

Do you offer refunds?

Unused lesson credits in a package can be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Completed lessons are not refundable. If a lesson is disrupted by a technical problem on my side, it is not deducted.

How do you track my progress?

Every lesson adds to a correction log and a four-skill score in your student portal: speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary. Package students receive a written progress report at the midpoint, and exam students get band-by-band marking on every mock.

Fluency confidence usually shifts within three to four lessons because it depends on habits rather than knowledge. Measurable grammar accuracy and exam band changes typically take six to ten weeks of consistent work with homework completed.

Yes. Each lesson ends with targeted homework, and your portal holds downloadable materials — reference sheets, phrase banks, drills and workbooks — that match what we are currently working on.
